I thought the money was only for low incomes (ie. government support & the very low paid) & got a shock to see the money in my account! I'm retired on a good private superannuation pension & don't need a top up.

I was planning to buy some new shoes (always expensive for the types I wear) so used part of the money to buy 2 pairs. The rest disappeared into my account & paid for whatever I bought next!

I have a friend on a disability pension who found the money very useful.
