True silence is awe inspiring. Many dusks up Kent County on a chilly fall day the wind dies completely and all stops. Nothing moves, not even mice in the leaves. There are no birds chirping, no squirrels nattering, nothing at all. I have snapped my fingers quietly near my ear to confirm that it is actually silent.
