It might be worth going to Add and Remove Programmes, taking out IE, then reloading it from a CDROM.

I had this problem at one time - it kept on refusing to let me look at any sites that weren't on its approved list, including my own website, which is a pretty innocuous afair. But then I had to reinstall everything because the hard disk crashed, and it works fine now.
