"Dancing at Whitsun" is English. I suppose Shirley Collins' is the definitive version (it was written by her husband), although naturally my own favourite is the version I recorded with The Electropathics - but of course I'm biased :)

June Tabor's version of "The Band Played Waltzing Matilda" takes some beating.
