Subject: RE: Sappiest Love Song in Yer Repertoire???
Thanks for including my song in your 'sappiest of all time' -- I'm honored! Ironically it is my most requested song, so what does that tell you? It's the end of civilization as we know it.

While traveling in the middle of the night the other night listening to xm, "Honey" came on the radio. Now that's my favorite all time sappiest. Holy crap, who thought that was a good idea for a song?

While on tour in Tucson this fall I met the woman who inspired "MacArthur Park." I was telling my road manager about her . . . when "MacArthur Park" came on the radio. How spooky is that? We were driving from Rhode Island to Westchester County in a Prius with a slammin' sound system and cranked it WAY up. Bliss.

I don't think I should tell you her name, but she is now married to the cousin of one of the most famous singers to ever come out of Tucson. And she is still a real beauty. I asked her what the sweet green icing was about and the cake in the rain -- she didn't really understand those lines, either. But it sure was fun to meet her and talk about that song.
