Dorothy, it sounds like you're working through a lot of things coming and going. It certainly gives a sense of proportion to what the rest of us are looking at (not nearly so much).

I propped some decorative baskets in front of the fireplace yesterday and for an ugly area it looks much better. I need to move and dust the crystal on the mantle and put up something with a completely different look for a while.

The dogs and I went for a lovely big loop of a walk this evening, and it has been a mild day as winter goes in North Texas, but tomorrow the junk from the North is supposed to descend upon us, very cold temperatures and freezing rain. A good day to work indoors and not plan to drive anywhere.

I need to choose my electric company for the next year and I need to purchase a couple of books for my son. There is a load of laundry waiting to be washed and a few of the usual dishes. And tax stuff looms as papers arrive with important numbers.

Lamb, spinach, rice and yogurt for dinner. Mmmmm!
