Linda, Llanfair lives in Llanfair Caerenion near Welshpool and that is not too far from Shrewsbury.

A chippie is a fish and chip shop, an establishment where you can usually purchase cooked fish in batter and a mass of chips (french fries) that stick together all supplied with excess grease free of charge. Occasionally you strike lucky and find one that does cook the stuff properly but in my experience, they are rare.
