That sounds wonderful, Mary!

My cousin used to make a good salad that was mostly chick peas (canned, or cook your own), sliced red onions and tuna. That was it. Rinse the peas, then some onion slices (slices or chunks - they're not chopped) and then use a can of tuna that comes in oil, not water. Drain off some of the oil (keep it for tweaking), but pour the tuna over the chick peas and onions. Use salt and pepper to taste. The oil from the fish becomes the dressing.

Today is mostly kid stuff. My son's phone died three states away and I have to arrange to get a new phone to him. It can or might involve paying down the existing contract (at a prorated level since we'll stay with the company) then setting him up as an authorized user of the account so he can sign the 2 year contract to take his phone home. There's a "thank you" bonus available, apparently I'm close enough to the end of two contracts that they want me to stay. I've had this company for 15 years, I think we're a safe bet, but the bonus would be nice.

Weather cold and bright, sinuses making themselves felt. Sudafed time. It still, annoyingly, smells a bit like the fireplace ashes in here. I've heard a couple of "near miss" candle stories since my little misadventure. (One wonders that there are any Swedish women alive today, what with that candles in the hair thing they used to do on the holidays.)

I've been waiting for my son to email back - since we can't text or phone, our communication is hobbled. I can make a few account adjustments and if he sleeps the day away, he'll have to wait till tomorrow to get the new phone. I could mail my son my old phone and they'd put it in service for him, no charge at all. But I suspect he'd resist that easy step. :)

I moved furniture around the house again last night. I have the dining table back in the corner near cabinets and shelves, it looks better the computer. I am thinking about putting the TV on the hearth, but only if I can keep the cool draft from coming through. I'm afraid a moist draft wouldn't do the electronics any good.

More calls to make this afternoon. I had a lazy morning in PJs until several pairs of jeans came out of the dryer. Now I need to run to the store.
