I have done a good share of pipe smoking. I guess it was an attempt at trying to emulate my father who smoked a maple blend. I preferred a cherry blend, myself. But what I ultimately came to realize was that pipe smoke invariably smelled way better than it tasted. Not only that, but the room in which the smoking took place smelled nice for only a short time, after which it simply stank.
