Up to 11F so far today. Every degree it goes up outside means another degree in the kitchen - up to 60 now! Upstairs is a bit warmer but nothing is up there yet - except the tree which did not freeze. The only heat up there WAS from down here - why it is cold down here; it all was going up!. Tree seems quite happy.

Rob is working on the hole in the kitchen ceiling so the whole room is in a mess - bits of styrofoam and dry wall. He brought down a bucket of water -NO water down here today - and I can wash a few things. I have a couple gallons of distilled water for tea and cooking. Breakfast the the remains of last night's supper. I cleaned up the major debris from the ceiling and am staying out of the way.

Took books to library. Maybe I will just finish the current one and keep warm today. And start another pot of soup. Yesterday's is almost gone. Oops, and go to the store for more veggies. Will do. Also research instruction booklet for air cleaners. Poor things are working hard with all this dust. They might need new filters. Also need to order more green tea from Frontier and tinctures from Eclectic. Here I go...
