Coyotes are important in keeping down rodent and rabbit populations. Also eat a lot of grasshoppers. Still important in the West.

Here in Calgary, they forage in alleys at night. No problem, as long as little dogs and cats are under control.

Love their singing. Better that some of the stuff heard on radio these days.
