Thread Name: Review: Richard Thompson Glasgow gig.

He managed to play for around 3 hours, not include Beeswing, Vincent Black Lightning, Galway to Graceland, Bright Lights, Dad's gonna Kill me, or any other 'greatest hits' and still the time flew by. He did play a version of the 'Angel's have taken my Racehorse' off Henry the Human Fly. I've been going to RT gigs since 1976 and that was the first time I'd heard that (favourite) track live!

The songs off the album work better live, and the band are simply tremendous - Pete Zorn was on great singing form, and Michael Jerome is a brilliant percussionist, whether on just one bongo drum or using the whole kit.

I would have liked a couple of just RT on acoustic numbers, but then he does play whole concerts like that, so I'll have to catch one of those.
