In The Maritimes, the yotes are much bigger, they run in packs, they kill a lot of deer (30 to 40% of their diet), they kill sheep/goats/any small animal, and they can carry rabies. They also attack humans (as per Bob's post). They are smarter than many dogs.

I do not go in the backwoods without a gun. I am more afraid of coyotes than black bears.
