Human nature suggests that the first thing we see as kids becomes the standard by which all such things are to be judged. If you first saw a feisty 22 pound coyote in Callifornia, then the 89 pound canine that was hit by a car (mentioned above) in Upstate New York just ain't gonna sound like a coyote to you.
