My dad used to ask me if i wanted a high poured or a low poured cup of tea and I thought he was joking but it did taste better. Unfortunately not many people use teapots these days.

Talking of rituals with toast I leave the top crusted half until last and it has to be buttered up to the edge and if I have jam or marmalade it can only be spread to just a bit below the buttered crust. Strange but true.
