I should have added that the physics of a plane mirror are quite complex. If you go through a Hall of Mirrors in a funfare, you'll see the distortion that occurs because of the curvature of a mirror. If you look at your face in a spoon, you'll get a vertical and horizontal reflection on one side and a horizontal, distorted reflection on the other.
