A truly heartbreaking story, 999. The Rwanda slaughter is one of the most horrifying episodes ever to take place, and M. Dallaire's heroic efforts and his subsequent mental torment move me to tears. I totally agree that the UN seems ineffectual at the very least, and suspiciously detached at the worst. Corrupt interests are at play under the surface politically, I'm sure.
