I'm making chicken stew.
It's healthy if you don't eat enough food. It's not going to be healthy if you don't eat chicken or butter, because it's gonna have roux in it. It would have dumplings if I'd gotten the recipe off a friend... AND if I could have found lard. If my friend should happen to read this, I dream about those dumplings! My mother's dumplings were to die before, but her stew was good. Anyway, this has a lot of onions, celery, and some beautiful carrots. (The produce guy went out back to get some really good ones for me. I think they were the same ones that were on the shelf, but perception means everything.)

I haven't really liked margarine since I discovered butter. I grew up with margarine. Now, we know it has all sorts of nasty trans-fats in it. A little butter can make me a lot happier than a load of fake margarine. Real cream in my coffee: the fake creamer/coffee lightener crap is SOOOO offensive!
