I see what you were saying now. Not that the cops were backing off because they were on the payroll but that the other cops could not get a conviction because other cops on the payroll were lying for Ben. That is even worse.

Didn't the article say that the incident happened in a unisex restroom? If Ben, the girl and the off duty police bodyguards all were in that restroom, it must have been quite a party!!

By the way, if it was he said/she said, did it cross your mind that the investigators might have found mature policemen more credible than a drunk under-aged girl.
