I agree with Malcolm... The Rose of Kelvin Grove is a recent tune written in the sixties or early seventies for the pipes and commonly played with massed pipes and drums and military bands. Like Amazing Grace and Highland Cathedral, it evokes huge emotion when played in the combined band setting. I've done a midi here. The composer, I believe, was a member of the Black Watch when he wrote the tune, but I'll try to confirm that.
It is my understanding, too, that there are no lyrics to the tune.
