I would like to humbly submit that I see unfortunate irony in the resurrection of this thread with the "Folk Nazi" thread so fresh in our minds. Just for the record, and I'm not asking for agreement, maybe just a little understanding, There were some (myself included) who wanted Clinton to resign because what he did was abhorrent and he used the power of his office to escape the embarrasment of a non-impeachable act--thereby creating a blueprint for future politicians to follow to escape real corruption. And even though I feel this way, I do not hate Hitler any less than anyone else, I would never act for the repeal of civil rights or social security--in fact I would act to have it removed from the general budget for its salvation. I also know of no one among people I know who felt any different. It hurts me deeply when people who share my love for music confer such hateful thoughts and titles upon me for my ideologies. I hope I would no sooner attribute the atrocities of Stalin on those of you who prefer a growing federal government. I know. It was JUST a song.
