Recently I created a Word document that contains a bulleted list. From time to time I need to copy an item from that list into another document. I found it was impossible to copy an item without also copying the bullet and a tab character, followed by the text I want.

This isn't much of a problem for me. I can easily delete the bullet+tab after copying. But it could be confusing if you couldn't see what's happening.

I recommend pasting your password into a Word document so you can see exactly what it contains. If you click the paragraph symbol (¶) at the top of the Word screen, it will reveal any hidden spaces, tab characters, end-of-line characters, end-of-paragraph characters, etc.
