Thread Name: Utah Phillips: Loafer's Glory Radio Show
Subject: Utah Phillips: Loafer's Glory Radio Show

From 1997-2001, Utah Phillips broadcast 99 episodes of the Loafer's Glory radio program, which he labeled "The Hobo Jungle of the Mind," calling himself "The Golden Voice of the Great Southwest." The programs were produced at radio station KVMR in Nevada City, California. That's not far from my home here in the Sierra Foothills, so I saw Utah Phillips on stage often when he was alive.
A good number of episodes of the program are available for MP3 download at the Utah Phillips Website, http://www.thelongmemory.com. The recordings aren't perfect - each show is on a single MP3 file, the volume level is a bit low, and there is no index of what's on each show. You have to listen to the whole of each program. The "back" button on my car stereo takes me back to the beginning of the program - so I have to re-listen to a whole lot of stuff if I want to listen to the program again.
So, anyhow, I got the bright idea that it might be nice to index these programs. I'm going to post a list of links to the programs that are available. If you'd like to join this project, listen to a program and then post an index in a message below. It would be helpful if you could post the time where each song appears on the program.
Thanks.

KVMR has three programs available as streaming M3U files - I think two of these programs (Pete Seeger and "Magic of Radio") are not among those available for MP3 download.
