The "old days" were real life, Eliza, as it's meant to be. I can re-experience that now if I go to some 3rd World country (and pick the right place to be when I'm there)...or if I'm out in the country and I get away from all the electronic devices. The only one that has me hooked is the computer. When I go to Cuba or Trinidad, I get away from it too.

As for the phone, I ignore it and just let it take messages. I check them later. I have no TV. I have no radio. And I have no cell phone. I may be almost the only person left around here who has no cell phone.

I like the computer, because it doesn't decide on the programming, I decide on the programming...as long as I remember not to let my homepage hijack my train of thought.
