Umm is it bad diction by the singers ot do we hear what we want to hear!?
Good while ago a lady asked me "do you know that Irish song with Cary Grant in?"
Course I said I didn't know of any song with Cary Grant in, so I said can you sing me a line
She obliged with "I wish I was in Carrickfergus, only for nights with Cary Grant" !! Actually when I first heard it I thought it was 'only for n ights with Barry Grant';)
