Portland was about a 12 hour trip, in the snow and rain, from Antigonish, Nova Scotia when we did it in December (1997). But much nicer in August! And very beautiful. There is much to see, even in that short piece. Time to smell the sea air, go on a whale watch in the Bay of Fundy, the Bay of Fundy itself..... We saw bald eagles. What a trip!
