For northern England the following are well worth a listen: Paul Roberts, Willie Taylor, Ned Pearson, Kate Barfield between them cover a very wide spectrum. But obviously there are a load of others; that was my taster list, not "the best of". There are no bests in traditional music, just a lot of people doing their thing. But I applaud Paul Davenport's Zen adage. Don't copy,seek and ye shall find.
