I see the correct glyphs with both methods, in Word and in Preview, but when I clicked to preview the pasted glyphs were converted (without my permission!!!) to their decimal codes ✱ thru ❇.
(I've noticed this automatic conversion previously here.)
Does anyone else see just two rows of asterisks?
