Leveller; I hear you regarding the role of Monarchy, but trust me, when I was hawking me' arse around the world's trade fairs, trying to keep our factory going, waving the flag got us far more business than comparing tolerances and build quality with the Germans.

A pity, 'cos we would have won that round too.

Once had Prince Charles attend the UK pavillion at a construction trade fair in Singapore. he was only with us half an hour, and most of that was glad handing the reps of the twenty companies, so once he had finished with us, he was off. However, the Pacific rim attendees followed....

Don't knock it. As we have seen in less savoury trade, Andrew is the darling of Foreign arms buyers. Well the principle holds in most UK exports, however much industry is shrinking.

However, dealing with monsters is coming back to haunt people. Bliar hugging Gaddaffi, Chinese and Indian governments ignoring sanctions in Burma. We are still US lap dogs.
