I am neither "disinterested" nor uninterested, Lansing. I am extremely interested, and I will call a goat a goat regardless of which party the goat belongs to. So will GfS. What pisses most people here off is that he doesn't just attack the the goats on the other side of the political divide from them, he attacks some of the sacred cows on their side of the divide too! That they find unforgivable! They'd rather he just stuck to criticizing George Bush, but kept his hands off Obama, for instance.

It isn't a question of neutrality. It's a question of honest observation of what's actually going on. And this is what's actually going on...

Both the Democratic and the Republican parties are deeply complicit in promoting and maintaining imperialism, war, fraud, and robbery of most of the public on behalf of a tiny, fabulously wealthy elite. You don't get elected president unless you work for that elite. You don't stay president for very long unless you do what they put you there to do. The partisan game is a real game, of course...with some juicy prizes for those who win it at election time...but it's also a charade, because regardless of who wins it, the same grand imperial game goes on and on. The outer style of rhetoric differs, but the game goes on.

To say this is NOT to be neutral. It is to wake up to what the hell is actually happening in the corrupted halls of power in Washington.

Do I have a solution to these problems? Hell, no. I'm not God! I'm just a person who is observing what is occurring around me and commenting on it. If I did have a solution, my life wouldn't be worth a plugged nickel, I assure you.
