Hey Ed .... Moosehead is a family run business ... and doing very well. It is a "properly" run business and the pension benefits should accomodate these older workers (as expected they would be) ... but then again we live in an age were the employees's penions and benefits are are a vulnerable target ... albiet corporations or governments.

A note about Keith's brewery ... this used to be an independant Nova Scotia brewery which was bought out by Anheuser-Busch ... they ran a nationwide ad extolling the wonderful Keith's beer and how proudly it was from Nova Scotia ... the ads worked so well it became a national favourite ... Keith's decided to brew the beer for the Ontario and western markets in Ontario (where the market share is growing) ... thus laying off 40 workers last Christmas in their Halifax brewery .... so much for the proud Halogonian beer.
