Planning and ticket sales are well under way for this year's festival which will run from 19th - 21st August. See website for details of lineup etc. There will be two ceilidhs, concerts in the marquee and on the Hermitage FM stage (Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and evening and Sunday afternoon), song sessions, pub sessions, workshops, dance sides, a story walk, lots of activities for children, and probably lots of things I have forgotten. Early bird tickets are available until 31st May at last year's prices which is great value for money so don't miss out by leaving it too late. Day tickets are available and camping can be booked for weekend ticket holders.

Moira Furnace Folk Festival

In addition to the fundraising events listed on the website 'What's the Point?'(and possibly invited guests) will be playing for a St Patrick's celebration at the New Inn at Pegg's Green, Coleorton, Leics. at lunchtime on Sunday 20th March in aid of the festival, so if you are in the area please feel free to come along and buy a great pint of Guinness (or whatever takes your fancy)and drop your loose change into the collecting boxes. This will be an unamplified gig as the pub is very small and we are going to be shoehorned into one corner of the bar. This won't be an open session as the monthly Monday night session will be running as usual on the preceding Monday (14th March).
