Ah me!! ~~ I truanted from school in 1946 to see her in The Outlaw [made 1943, but took 3 years for a release because of the downward shots of her cleavage ~~ oh those dear dead innocent days that are no more!]. Terrible, cliché-ridden oater; and she wasn't even that good in those days ~ or maybe the lousy script didn't give her much chance. In fact, it took Hollywood far too long to realise that she was a comedienne {rather than a mere pouting pair of boobs} + a very fair singer to boot.

But, once realised, didn't she do well? And now; final exit only just under 90. Why, that's not old...
