David - the site looks very modern, cool and professional. Might I just add an observation? Modern web sites by professional designers are very clever - the only danger that can come along, if you're not careful, is a triumph of style over substance. In other words, the outward appearance and impression from the site is very good, but some of the functionality and technical gizmos either overpower what's actually contained therein, or conceal the fact that there may not be very much there. This is not implying that your site is like that, but you might like to take note of the fact that some 'Catters, obviously with very varied computers, are having different experiences!

I too have a web site - entirely designed and written by me - and I can confess to you that I have very little technical knowledge. I can just about get my head around a .css style sheet! So my pages are very old-fashioned and simplistic. What I've aimed for is to make the information about me and what's on my site - and therefore what people can get from it - as clear as possible. You can see it here:

I'm sure the site is not perfect - far from it - and professional designers would probably laugh their socks off looking at it - but it at least has some simplicity and clarity (I hope!).

I think I'm suggesting, in a roundabout way, that a little less technical wizardry and a bit more interesting stuff about you or by you would be an improvement. But, in the end, you have to do things your way - so all the very best with what you do!
