LF, it is not a "non-maintained" road, but one they maintain when needed-- there are several people who do sometimes live up there all year 'round, some of whom have apparently not been there yet this winter but one we know who will be up there for the year in a few short (wintry) weeks. We have no special pull up there, nor does our friend (really more like a brother). The township has no additional budget there, either. Just purely nice folks helping out a neighbor when they happened to have time to take a ride to look over a local road on a sunny day (which also is a shortcut to a school up there). It's a good road. And good people typical of good people here. And a hill that has not yet been fracked up. Yet.
