I have no idea what the clouds would do if left alone, it would depend on a number of different factors, but one could find out by just sitting there and watching them for awhile. It is direct experience that counts in these things, because it answers all the questions that actually matter. As for the ones that don't, they're just grist for a restless mind, and there are many restless minds out there.
