We had ours rolled into place as a settin' bench near what later became a campfire-pit. We have another tree that needs to come down if anyone wants to come drop it and take the trunk or push it to the firepit!

Our challenge in getting that one dropped is the same anyone faces if they have a tree that is down or "needs downed." If it is not wood that someone wants, they will not come take it away for free. So if you can get someone local to tell you what it is, you might be able to FreeCycle it. Or you might find a local 4H or Scout group, etc., that would be interested. If not your best bet is probably to chainsaw it into manageable chunks (make one first to see if it's manageable!) and use them in landscaping decor.
