Not much use unless lilac or other very hard, wanted wood, as noted by Dorothy P.

I have a Shubert cherry that will have to go, the trunk useless but it has a large burl at the base. A woodworker I know has asked for it. Burls can be excellent, but won't know its quality until it is cut.
