Sheets as cover for comforters (duvets), etc.
A while ago we went to a house auction where some excellent bedding, including long staple cotton ('Egyptian') sheets with high thread count were on offer.
We sat next to an antique-dealer friend and were a bit surprised that he was bidding. Talking after the auction, we teased him that the sheets were not 'antique', and he asked us if we had priced good sheets recently. He went on to say that a good sheet was worth more than some of the antiques in his shop. He was so right!
