Sad news indeed. I have some great memories of the early one, including getting barred from the Black Boy. Shanty jack has been a fine servant building up a great festival over the years. It's no substitute but Beverley lass Teggy will be running a Shanty Session on Easter Sunday at the Garners rest as part of the Sheffield Folk Session Festival.
