If you can type (I mean really type not just hunt-and-peck), and can find your way around a computer, you can always find work as a "temp" through one of the Temp agencies. I put myself through grad school doing this. It was great -- I was even Kelly Girl of the Month once (despite my beard and male genitalia!). Most of the temp agencies will even train you on whatever software is important in your local area.

The great thing about temping is that you never are in any one place for very long -- if the people are too uptight, well in a day or two you'll be somewhere else.

When temping, ALWAYS sign up with as many agencies as you can. That way you can pick and choose between jobs for the best pay, location, length of assignment, etc.
