I need to know how Gravity works, it is just bugging me right now. How is it transmitted? There are electromagnetic waves that propogate Radio waves and the like at the speed of Light. What propogates the effect of gravity and does it have a speed of propogation? So if a new large asteroid appeared in the solar system would its gravitational effect be felt instantly by the Earth and just what mechanism transmits the effect. In Star trek world I should think this would be explained by a New Particle - The Graviton!
