It is very easy to read these threads and interpret the content as anger. Early on when I was just lurking I was shocked at some of the stuff typed in by this Catspaw guy. Then over time I realized that about 92% of it was harmless sarcasm. Once I realized that I started looking at the other things typed in here and realized many of these people have developed good friendships and they were harrassing each other in a friendly way.

But then I read the flame posts. I realized that some of the people here were not just doing some friendly joshing. Some of the people, the flamers, were closer to being sick.

So now I read with a judicious eye. If I see something that gets under my skin I ask myself, What does that poster want from me?" Generally the answer is that he wants my attention. By withholding that attention you are doing as much good as by responding to him.
