Confession time, (should I start another thread?) about the stupidest thing I almost did on the internet.

It was 1997 or thereabouts, and I was reading a rather heated discussion. I read one post by a complete idiot, and quickly typed mine up, attacking all his stupid theories and questioning whether some of his recent ancestors had the right number of chromosomes. I decided to read his message again before I hit the "send" button. Good thing - he had said the exact opposite of what I'd believed he'd said. I'd read part of his message and missed a key word somewhere. I would have looked and felt like a Class A jerk.
