The 'problem' with the Freedom Festival is that they put up two rather loud stages near the Minerva. We like to use the old Brewery room on the East side of the pub and to keep the french doors open to interest any passing crowd. Also I'm sure that Phil and Sue at the Minerva are kept reasonably busy with the Freedom Festival crowd.

We hope that local dance teams would dance out at the Pier. An outdoor PA would be very welcome, as long as the weather's OK.

I too welcome the Freedom Festival, though it does rattle my windows a bit. Still no reply from the City Council as to the dates of the Freedom Festival.

If any 'ull folk can think of somewhere we could use as a secure place for camper vans then that would be useful. Perhaps the Deep could help out here. I'll also see if we get a special rate at a nearby hotel like Premier Inn. If any local people have a spare bed they can offer, then we'll attempt to co-ordinate that.

But we can't do anything until the Council settle a date for the Freedom Festival.
