MaYBE THE NEWER ONES ARE ok, BUT THE GLASS COOKTOP PARTS THAT CAME WITH THIS HOUSE WHEN WE MOVED IN WERE ALL BADLY CRACKED-- LOOKED MORE LIKE HEAT STRESS THAN weight-breakage-- and scuffed up from cast iron sliding on it. I think the glass stovetops may have to be used with similarly magazine-pretty, brand new pots and pans to hold up. Call me crazy, but iron to iron and glass to glass, in my way of thinking.
