Well, gee, maybe the thread was pertinent. The first reading for Sunday March 13 in the Catholic Lectionary was the Adam-Eve-Serpent story. Our priest had fun with it - he said Adam was a "wuss" for putting all the blame on Eve. The Common Lectionary doesn't coincide with the Catholics this week, although it does a great deal of the time.

Oh....different tree, same garden. They were eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.
