(Damian Thompson is a British journalist, author and blogger. He is Blogs Editor of the Telegraph Media Group, with responsibility for editing and commissioning blogs on politics, religion, finance and culture for Telegraph.co.uk. He blogs mainly about religion. He is also a regular leader writer for The Daily Telegraph and former Editor-in-Chief of the Catholic Herald. He remains a Director of the Catholic Herald and has a Ph.D in the sociology of religion.
