For U.S. readers, most of what's listed here is English Ceilidh dance music (for energetic, bouncy, uncomplicated dances, compatible with alcohol consumption; generally not found in the U.S.), rather than English country dance music (generally smooth and elegant, for Playford style & descendants).

I believe Mo the Caller (14 Mar 11 - 10:08 AM, above) is the only one above who addressed what we'd call ECD style. (Please correct me if I'm wrong!)
