I remember reading somewhere that Jet was always winding up the other Shadows during recording sessions because he'd keep turning up the volume on his bass... and in those days you couldn't fix it in the mixdown!

I'm particularly fond of the bass line in 'Kon-Tiki' - unusually it had quite a lot of echo on it.
